One of my last stops of the day was the main branch of the New York Public Library on 42nd St and 5th Ave. I wanted to explore The Deborah, Jonathan F.P., Samuel Priest, and Adam Raphael Rose Main Reading Room on the 3rd floor…
Since it was Sunday, today would be a perfect day, plus I stumbled across a parade going down 42nd St and turning on 5th Ave. The streets were pretty crowded, so I might as well dip into the NYPL to cool off a little and grab some photos.
Like most places in NYC, tourists were everywhere taking pictures throughout the Library. I might as well blend in and meet my objective; of taking a 3 exposure HDR image from the back corner of the main reading room.
I was in luck, no one was sitting in the last three rows. Once I started to frame the photo. I noticed there was a book directly in front of me; at first, I was going to move it out of the way. On second thought this is a library, so I left it in the photo. The name of the book was called “The Ancient Egyptians” for those with curious minds. After about nine shots, I was pretty happy with the results and it was time to move on, today’s photo exploring was coming to an end.
