A photo capture was taken during a visit to Franklin D. Roosevelt Four Freedoms Park. The picture was taken at the southern end of the park looking east towards Long Island City, NY… FDR Four Freedoms Park has some wonderful views of Manhattan, Queens, and the East River. I would highly recommend a visit to this location for great photo ops.
The above photo has been sitting in my archives since December 2012. Today seems like a perfect day for an edit. I did my normal HDR workflow by combining a 3 exposure image via Lightroom 5 into Photomatix Pro, then I did a slight clean-up via PS 6 by merging an original image and the finished HDR image from Photomatix Pro and masked out parts of the sky. Once I was satisfied with the finished product, it was time to get rid of some the noise in the photo by using Topaz DeNoise.
Next, I brought the photo into OnOne Perfect Effects 4 and added a red gradient filter plus one more filter in the effect panel. I saved that image back into LR5 and then opened it up in Topaz Clarity were I applied an architecture filter. Lastly, the photo was finished off in Topaz Detail to share with the world.
