I headed down to the 14th Annual Chinatown Lunar New Year Parade & Festival on Sunday, February 17th, 2013. The parade started at 1:00pm at the intersection of Mott & Hester Streets…It was pretty packed on both sides of the streets when I arrived. I needed a good vantage point to take pictures from. Luckily, I was able to find a corner location at Bayar & Mott Streets; where I could get a clear shot of the oncoming parade.
The parade is really awesome with all the floats, dragon dancers, and marching bands. I took a lot of photos that day, but I think these three shots pretty much show the essence of the festivities.
