The amount of photo opportunities from Brooklyn Heights and DUMBO has always been fantastic for photographers. Brooklyn Bridge Park aggressive expansion along the Brooklyn shoreline is quite impressive…The park covers from Atlantic Avenue (Pier 6) to Jay Street (Manhattan Bridge view lawn).
The above photo was taken at the Southern end of Pier 1 near the salt marsh & kayaking launch area. I arrived around 8:15pm to get a good location and setup my tripod etc. Originally I started off with bracketed HDR shots but switched to long exposure photos because of how wonderful the lights of the city looked. Eventually, I will post-process the HDR photos and post them in a couple of months.
I highly recommend a visit to Brooklyn Bridge Park if you have never been; it’s an awesome location for all types of photos. To view more information about BBP Click here.
