One day I noticed a guy taking pictures with his DSLR through the window of an NYC train with a black cover over his lens? I was not familiar with this product and said wow, that will come pretty handy… A quick google search produced results of a product called LenSkirt, which was sold at Adorama on 18th St.
The product was on backorder at Adorama, so I ordered it on Amazon. Lenskirt is a pretty nifty product that can be used anywhere, it’s basically used to keep the reflective lighting out of your picture or videos when shooting through glass windows. Lenskirt is perfect for shooting day or night shots from locations like the Chicago Skydeck or John Hancock Center, hotel rooms or even the NYC Tram on 2nd Ave. Lenskirt attaches fairly simple to any window by applying the four suction cups to any glass surface.
I have yet to use the product as of yet but will give it try pretty soon. I think my first destination will be the Roosevelt Island Tram to get some New York City cityscapes. For more information on Lenskirt click here.
